Timeline
Mia's blog begins September 26, 2008 and concludes December 7, 2012. Some of the events are out of chronology with the rest of the series, though some of them involve real-life events are occur on their marked date. Mia's college years were September 2007 - June 2011.
Summary
Mia goes to college and enjoys her time in the dorms (significantly more than college). She is assigned to live with a group of suitemates. Her sophomore year she selects the same suitemates again, as she has become good friends with them. She posts many reviews of Ransom My Heart as it approaches its publishing date. Grandmère tries to embargo Ransom My Heart from being sold in Genovia, to avoid embarrassing the family. Her suitemates steal and hold captive another suitemate's Cabbage Patch doll in exchange for Grandma's Cookies.
Mia and Michael attend Barack Obama's inauguration. Her friends join her for Spring Break their freshman year in Genovia. While her friends are off with exciting summer opportunities - Lilly with an internship to the NYT, Tina with an internship at St. Vincent's, Boris in an orchestra playing Shakespeare in the Park, Lana working in her dad's office, and Shameeka working in the White House. However, Mia must spend her spring break in Genovia helping to open the Royal Genovian Health and Wellness Awareness Center. Due to the global recession Genovia loses tourism money, as no one is spending on gambling and yachts, but Mia has the idea to turn Genovia in to a healthcare destination and Pavlov Surgical supplies many of the medical supplies.
Lilly and Mia rank the most romantic movies of all time. Tina, Lilly, and Grandmère join Mia to rank Oscars fashion. For her birthday she spends the night at the loft and gets lunch with her friends. Lana does not attend as she is recording a song, Put It In My Candy Hole, and filming a reality show that has not yet been picked up. Mia spends her summer taking care of Grandmère after her seventh facelift goes awry.
Mia gets invited to Prince William's wedding and all of her family and friends want to be her +1. Michael jokes about eloping, but Tina has to explain as it goes over Mia's head. Due to a hangover and some bad behavior Grandmère does not end up attending the wedding.
